"Walk-by/drive-by" is a meter reading system that is conducted by walking or driving at speeds of up to 50 km/h in areas where meters are installed. For reading, a handheld device with the installed IKOM Reader application and a Bluetooth receiver that receives radio signals, unpacks their content, and displays it on the handheld device are required. 

This high-quality system enables fast and efficient meter reading at distances of up to 800m (depending on conditions).


The IKOM Reader supports manual data entry from meters, in case the meter is not equipped with a radio module. The application also allows for photographing the meter or metering point, entering observations and comments, as well as geocoding metering points and reading via a map. In this way, our customers have a unified solution for reading all meters, data processing, and sending to the billing system.
